Kirsten Engel is a law professor and former state legislator who also wrote the Massachusetts vs. EPA brief asking the Supreme Court to regulate greenhouse gasses. In 2022, after a competitive primary, she lost the general election by a very close margin. In 2024, Kirsten is running with unified party support to win in a district that is one of the few red-to-blue flippable districts in the country. And Arizona is going to be a critical state this fall – Kirsten’s victory will help boost Senate climate hawk Ruben Gallego, not to mention the Harris-Walz climate presidential campaign.
